Active Directory Group Policies
Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry
Hello,
I am running though a checklist prior to upgrading my Windows 2000 AD
network to allow Windows 2003 based domain controllers.
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=325379
I am checking the contents of each DC's SYSVOL share to ensure group policy
objects are replicated throughout the domain. At the contents of
\\%LOGONSERVER\SYSVOL\domain.com\POLICIES only the group policies?
If so i am trying to get this moving. Ideally, i want to prep the domain to
allow for the inclusion of Windows 2003 based domain controllers, and then
demote the current Windows 2000 based DC's. I have also backed up all group
policies within the domain, and taken backups of the systemstate of each DC.
Do you think i can simply copy the contents of the
\\%LOGONSERVER\SYSVOL\domain.com\POLICIES from the PDC emulator to the other
DC's to ensure these are consistent?
