The referral should work, but if the user/password that is presented to ADAM isn't an ADAM user or a Windows user that is configured to work in ADAM, they won't authenticate.

Actually after reading up on ADAM, maybe I can explain this better.
Can I create an LDAP Referral in EDirectory that will point to ADAM and ADAM will authenticate the user and password that was presented in the Portal App?

I do not believe you can proxy auth this way. ADAM only uses internal secprins or Windows secprins. You would need to sync edir principals into ADAM with something like MIIS.

Any ideas or docs on the best way to perform userproxy and authentication of users logging in to an EDirectory aware app. I want to have the EDirectory proxy the Authentication to ADAM. I have been told that the App is only EDirectory aware and cant Authenticate users directly against it.............Thanks
