Sounds like you have already enabled that.
Domain with RESOURCES (files, printers etc) must TRUST the
domain with Users (who need access.)
Then you just grant the access.
You will only need an explicit trust IF you have domains in different
forests. There are automatic "domain trusts" within the same forest.
You will need EXTERNAL trusts (usually) if you have domains
in different forests.
External trusts require NetBIOS resolution. NetBIOS resolution
has a practical need for WINS Server(s) IF you have more than
one subnet.
