Jorge maybe i wasnt clear in what i was trying to accomplish.
My biggest objective is to remove child domain (not the domain
controller i know i will have to dcpromo down and then back up)
Goal is to have a redundent Domain. So if 1st domain controller isnt
available or crashes that the second DC can take over for the time
being until it is fixed, sort of a DRP. The second domain controller is
off site and Anthony has actually directed me in the right direction,
but thank you for nay other comments you might want to add in the
migration of profiles from old domain to new.My prcedure might even be
to make a local profile. then copy domain profile. Rejoin to new domain
create the profile and copy the local profile from earlier to this new
one.
