I typically use a shortcut so that I can control colors, scrollback,
quickedit
etc easily.

On my (default) shortcuts it says: %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%
This is controled by the user's PROFILE area in the AD account properties.
One using the Start command it goes to "My Documents" which is likely
the same place as those environment variables above.
