Hi

AFAIK the hotfix (the latest version is 840991) permits a specific
cross partition reference; that between the configuration
naming context of an ADAM instance and an(y) application
naming context in that instance. It's really there to allow
native ADAM users to be ADAM (schema) Admins.

The only users that can generally exist cross-partition in ADAM are
Windows (domain) principals.
