2 domaincontrollers

Hi,

We have 2 domaincontrollers windows 2003 in our organisation. (Both are
global catalog). FSMO roles are as follows.
Schema master and domain naming master on DC 1. Other 3 roles on DC 2.

Last night DC 1 crashed and now people with windows xp machines are getting
the following error message. The rpc service is not available.
I don't understand?? I thought if I had two domaincontrollers that DC 2
would take over if DC 1 fails. Did I configure something wrong???

thx in advance.

Ramon
