No, I don't think it did. This does not seem to be our problem because
like I said, users created via ADSI Edit are being restored correctly
after the authoritative restore. However, users that were created
either via our application or through an LDIFDE are not restoring.
They show up for a moment and then they will get removed by replication
it appears.
If it was a backup problem, I would expect to see nothing work. We are
using ntbackup for the backup/restores, is that not the correct way?
We are following the instructions exactly as shown in the
documentation.
In any case, we have made that registry key change so we are now seeing
the ADAM files in the exclusion list in ntbackup and the event error
has gone away so again this does not seem to be related.
