Active Directory Functional Level

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

I recently introduced Active Directory into my domain with two Windows 2003
servers. All of the NT4 domain controlers have been retired. I still have
several Windows NT4 member servers running, one of them with Exchange 5.5.

Currently I am running in mixed mode. If I switch to 2000 or 2003 native
mode will it break anything? I have found a few messages online that the
functional level only applies to domain controllers. Is this correct? Do I
need to install the AD Client on the member servers?

Thanks,
Mike
