ok
I am running server 2003 sp1 and the client os xp sp2. There is a Domain,
the server is running DHCP, DNS, IIS and Exchange.
The permission for the shared folders are set on the share. Admin shares are
not accessable but selft created ones like profiles and userdata are
accessable
The owners of th shares are creators and admin's.
the short cut is pointing to the server. when the short cut is created, the
folllow path is entered - \\server
The permission for the folders haven't being reset.
the user can't access the server via the address bar and typing \\server or
ip.
hopefully this information is more helpful. does any one have any throughts
on this issue?
