Display Name

When I add a computer account to the domain using the “Active Directory Users
and Computers”, the “Display Name” for the computer name is blank.

If I join the domain from a PC that is not part of the domain and look in
the “Active Directory Users and Computers”, the “Display Name” for the
computer name is the computer name$.

What gives? What’s the difference.
