Well, the copy/paste is what that's for. Understanding you are "taking" the
settings somewhere else, maybe you can use a laptop with a DC installed on
it, you can 'copy' the GPO to that DC, then when you go to the remote
location, copy it from that to the new domain.
A colleague of mine uses a laptop with VPCs. We actually use them in a
classroom setting all the time. Install VPC under XP, create a separate
harddrive image using Win2003, and promote it to a DC. Bring it up when you
need it.
