can i write a web application (html & asp) to make use of active directory?Yes, You can
i want to integrate the web application with domain users account.
what You mean when You are saying "integrate"
the web application needs to capture the user name and make use of user name to restrict the entry areas.
It's simple - user has to enable integrated authentication in IE and You have to capture user name variable from server variables - that's the simplest method
i have a vbscript to show up the present logon user
but i don't know how to put it into the vbscript part of html or asp. i tried but failed.
On the ASp page the simplest way is to request user name from server variables.
any hints or direction? Thanks a lot.You can ask question about the code itself on this mail group: ADSIANDDirectoryServices@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
