Security Translation Wizard

Can someone provide me with information regarding the Security Translation
Wizard in ADMT?
What is it for, what does it do and when are you supposed to use it.
We have an NT 4 domain and a new AD Forest and domain we are slowly moving
users to. Should the Security Translation be performed for us?
