Trouble with shared folders on DC when using unc path

I have 2 DCs running on an all 2003 network. I created my first group policy
today on a group of computers and users. After making the changes to the
group policy I am not able to create files or folders on any of the domain
controller shares when I browse to them using the unc path. When I am on the
machine and use explorer to get to the folders I am able to create files and
folders...I am using the same domain account when on both attempts.

I have deleted the group policy objects that I created and that has no
effect. Any help is appreciated.
