Then it would make sense to me to put all of the passwords from MySQL into
AD. Pretty easy script and possibly a front-end system to allow the user to
change passwords in the same place for both systems.

I asked about the application because you may have had some options there.
You may also want to have a look at www.centrify.com to see if there is
anything there that might be of use to you.
