No, this is actually a native Windows 2000 domain. Essentially, when I
dont supply a username and password, I don't get an authentication
exception, I just dont get any results from my query (for the record,
it works fine if I do provide them). This indicates to me that it is
binding anonymously (which I thought was disabled, but I dont control
that part), but I am not able to query the tree.
In regards to the KB articles, they are appreciated, but I actually
don't want to do an anonymous bind - I want to authenticate as the
current logged on user (ie, the one that is running the java
application, or the user that has been specified to run it in Scheduled
Tasks). Essentially I want to be able to grab the user context from the
environment and pass that on to the Active Directory provider for use
in authentication. This (naturally) happens automatically in a VB app
or Windows Script, but I can't seem to figure it out in Java.
Thanks Again,
Justin
