Computer login Problem

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Hello Folks,
Ive got a problem that has me stumped. I've got thirty computers
that all see the Server. All thirty computers are in the active
directory along with a User and Password for the User. 17 of the
computers come up with the network login window when the server is
clicked on from windows explorer. The rest all access to the server
with out the extra login window.
The non-server computers are a workgroup.

any help would be gratefully appreciated.

HaroldT

PS. The server does not reconize a user and password that is in the
active directory.
