Server2003 upgrade order

I have a tree of Win2K native mode domains i.e. a root domain and some child
domains. I am replacing old DC hardware, and I would like to use Server2003.
Is there any particular order that this should be done?

Historically, to go from NT4 to AD, one HAD to do the PDC first, then the
rest. With Win2K to Server2003, there does not appear to be any reason that
I could find (I searched TechNet) to go in any particular order. Indeed, I
have started in my test domain tree, by adding a new 2003 DC in a child
domain ... no problems. Then I moved the FSMO's to it for no particular
reason, again no problems.
