Yes the restricted login is exactly what I want to do.
The audit logging will help to find out when computers where used.
Unfortunately the main problem is actually getting our supervisors to use
their own login after hours. Some of them just use the generic login which is
of no use for tracking individual supervisors after hours use.
If it becomes to much of a problem we may have to stop them using the centre
after hours, by using group policys to restrict login times. Or stopping the
generic login from being used after a certain time.
Not a terribly satisfactory method, but if we cannot get them to follow the
rules, then denying access for a while might help.
Although I can already hear the howls of discontent if we go this route.
As for the audit logging, wher do I find this in the GPOs?
I am fairly new to this and I am self-learning on the job. :-)
Ahh the joys of volunteer organisations.
FYI we only have one DC so I do not have the complication of dealing with
multiple DCs at least.
Thanks again for your reply, now back some reading on WSUS setup.
Alistair.
