Network Broswing Issue
Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry
We have a small domain 30 users there are 2 servers running 2003 standard one
has WINS for 98 machines and DNS. When you browse the network from the
servers all the computers appear, however when you try to repeat this on an
XP machine you get the error message unable to find the network path. On the
event log of the second server the error message in the system log is The
browser service has failed to retrieve the backup list too many times on
transport. We have enabled netbios over tcp/ip to try and help the scenario
but no luck yet. When we first implemented the servers everything worked
fine.
Any ideas?
