Group Policy to Apply to All Users on certain Servers

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Hi,

We are having difficulty getting Group Policy to apply the way we want.

We have numerous sites that have a DC (or more) with 1 or more Terminal
Servers. At each of these sites we have users that also access local PCs or
Notebooks.

What we want to do is apply certain restrictions to PC / Notebook users, but
when those same users log into a Terminal Server they have a more
restrictive GPO applied. However, we only want this applied to certain
groups.

We don't care how we do this, ie Groups or OUs, etc... as long as it works.

The AD structure we've basically applied as a base level for each site is

domain
client
Staff
Groups
System Accounts

etc...

All actual users are under the Staff OU (may have further OUs beneath).

Tonight, we've also tried playing with creating a TS Servers and Computers
OU under <client>.

Can't make it work, help!
