The Nortel VPN client that we use has a option for "logoff after connect".
So The user logs on to the PC with the cached creds, runs the VPN client to
get the tunnel established, once the tunnel is up the VPN client logs the
user off of the local machine without bringing down the tunnel. The user is
then presented with the CTRL_ALT_DEL gina screen, and is able to do "live"
logon against the domain (login script, home drive, all the goodies,
etc....)
What VPN client do you use? Does it have this option? What if you were to
have them do a logoff "by hand" after the tunnel is up? How many licks does
it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?
