Disabling a proxy setting in GP

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I have some users who run on laptops while in-house and connected to the
network. In my GP I have specified the PROXY setting and the users want to
be able to use their internet at home on their laptops. Iknow thaqt you can
diable and set the WINDOWS SECURITY SETTINGS to disable the firewall and
reanalbe the firewall if the user is connected to the network. Can I do this
type of thing with the PROXY settings so my users can make the changes the
computers will disable the PROXY settings when the users or machines are not
connected to the network? Is there a better, easier way, or any suggestions
anyone can offer me. I am running WINDOWS 2000 Server and all my machines
have WINDOWS XP SP2. Any help is appreciated.
