Re: changing account username



This depends. You have two usernames - Pre Windows 2000 name
(sAMAccountName) and the Windows NT 5.x user name or UPN
(userPrincipalName).

The former cannot be more than 20 characters.

You can rename your users all you want. AD works with the SID not names.
