multiple email search?

Is it possible to search AD for email addresses other
than a user's primary address? For example, if my naming
scheme for users is first initial, last name and emails
are created as jdoe@xxxxxxxxxxx but I add a second SMTP
address for JohnDoe@xxxxxxxxxxx, can I search AD for it?
I tried choosing my domain --> find and entering the
alternate email address in SEVERAL different places but
no luck... is there anyway for me to track these types of
things down?
Thanks,
Dan
