Add Shortcut Icon to user's Desktop

I would like to use Active Directory to add an Icon to a exe file on a shared network program.
I figure this can be done in AD, since Novell does it nicely!
I have an exe file on a shared network drive that the user can run.
I would like to be able to put the path for the icon/shortcut on each users desktop.
the path is N:\WINCSI\myprog.exe (an example of the path, etc).
N:\ is the shared resource on the server (net use n: \\server\)
Any info will help
Thanks,
eric .
