DNS Workstation Registration

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

What are the pros and cons of registering only servers in AD DNS vs.

implementation that will also include WINS? I am particularly
interested in the benefits of workstation DNS registration and the
adverse impacts of not DNS-registering workstations.
