PLEASE help remote xp pro machine

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I have a user that belongs to my domain working remotely. He has been
working fine for the past 6 months locally on the network and remotely.
Today he is working remotely and suddenly he cannot logon to his pc. He is
logging on with his domain credentials but this has been working for months.
Can anyone tell me why that might have all of a sudden decided to quit.

Username or password not recognized.
