Mysterious slow logon process....
Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry
Hello Everyone,
I have a slight issue that I just cannot seem to figure out. When I take a
particular machine offline by either shutting it down or disconnecting it
from the network, client logons take forever. The second this machine comes
back online everything goes back to normal. Here is the history:
Windows 2000 domain recently migrated to Server 2003.
Exchange 5.5 recently migrated to Exchange 2003.
There are currently 2 domain controllers that both act as GC's. There was a
third box that was the first domain controller in the new server 2003 domain.
FSMO roles were transferred and box was demoted. This is the box that causes
the problems when it is taken offline.
Users logon to Terminal Services (Citrix) using roaming profiles. I am
stumped on this problem. Thanks in advance for any info.
