I'm familiar with what you''re talking about, having worked with both Novell
and Windows for a few years. What is sounds like you're asking is the
following:
On a server, you have a share named, for example, depts. Under the depts
share you have directories for acct, hr, finance. Users in the finance group
can't see the other two directories under Netware, they only see their own
directory. Under Win2K they can see all the directory names, they just can't
open them if they don't have rights to them.
Having the Windows server hide the directory names is not possible. This is
one feature that Novell does better than MS. The only way to do it is to
create a separate share for each directory and map directly yo it instead of
to the parent dir.
