NT4 servers won't join the domain

NT4 servers refuse to re-join a Windows 2000 domain after being removed from
it. I told the client to make sure that the Active Directory is running is
mixed mode. They verified that it is. I told them to check the DNS and the
WINS settings to make sure that they're the same as on the machines
configured by DHCP (which have no problem seeing the domain). The domain
controllers are pingable from the NT boxes. What could possibly be wrong?

TIA :)
