If I sent you a file could you have a look at the output from my gpresults
/v?
I'm trying to enable logon to "(local machine)" with a profile that is both
a roaming profile and a locally cached copy.
I just set up win2k3 server at home (I'm just a sw developer, not a full
time admin) just for roaming profiles when I got more than one machine at
home. If there's a problem with the network, or if I just want to boot my
laptop outside away from the network, I'd like to be able to logon locally.
I've already tried setting the "Allow log on locally" policy under Computer
Configuration/Windows Settings/Security Settings/Local Policies/User Rights
Assignment" on the default domain policy.
All I get is: "The system could not log you on. Make sure your User name
and Domain are correct..." with every logon attempt to the local machine.
I have a winxp and a tablet pc, (and now a win2k3 server of course).
Any help is appreciated.
