Ulf, thanks..
The server i removed from the domain was not one of the A/D - DNS servers.
Just wanted to show that this setings on that server were OK for the domain
prior to going to 2003. (I should have cleared that up, sorry)
I used DNSlint with the /ad switch and it reported all looked OK
DNSlint with the /d switch reports that "0 name servers report as being
authoritative" - checked the dnslint report from the /ad and it reported a
server was answering authoritively.
Is there different authoritive roles for DNS and AD?
DCdiag passes the frssysvol test but reports frsevents. It also fails the
FSMOCheck.
I dont have a GC, as i didnt think i needed one. (Only have 20 servers in a
domain on a private network)
netdiag test look good too.
Will check out the other threads.
