Hi Bruce

The mangled attribute problem comes when you've installed Exchange 2000 on
Windows 2000 without first running the InetOrgPerson kit for Windows 2000.
If you then upgrade to Windows Server 2003, you get the problem.

By first upgrading to Exchange 2003, it should have run the Exchange 2003
forest prep which then rectifies the issue and you can safely upgrade to
Windows Server 2003.

Kind regards
