I'm not sure if my answer is going to be right or not, but it could very well
be that when u applied the newest service pack, that it changed some security
settings on the DC. it would help to know the exact error message it gives u
when u attempt logon in normal mode. also a good way to find out is to go in
through safe mode and check the Event log for any relevant messages.
