Hi Jay,

I'm not sure what you're saying about 'tasks' from one container to another.
I believe you mean creating the console so to say, reset a password, and the
user list will show up in a clean easy to see box and all they have to do is
click on it and hit the reset password below the box.

See if this helps out a bit.
230263 - How To Create Custom MMC Snap-in Tools Using Microsoft Management
Console:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;230263

When I create a taskpad, say to reset passwords, I first open a new MMC.
Then I add the ADUC snapin. I expand the inside console window. Then I open
up the domain in it, expand the tree, choose an OU with, then rt-click, new
taskpad view, it asks if horizontal or vertical, then next, then the next
wizard comes up and asks what tasks to perform, I click next then choose a
user account on the left, then choose reset password, then next and close.
It then shows the new view. Then I proceed to click on the folders button so
as to remove the left pane. Then I go into File/Options, choose User Mode -
limited access, single window, then below that I check off Do Not Save
changes to this console, uncheck allow the user to customize views, hit ok.
THen I goto View/Customize and uncheck every button in there. THen save it,
close it, then open it and it should be good to go.

Now if you are asking if you can do mutliple OUs in that window (so one user
can be delegated to multiple OUs and work on them from one taskpad), I
haven't tried it and don't really believe that's possible and unfortunately,
I don't have a DC in front of me at the moment to test it.

Let me know...
