Hi,

I've got an issue with most of my windows xp pro clients that are
accessing ~5 network shares on a Active Directory DFS share that's
located on a Windows 2000 Server (SP4).
When browsing the network shares with windows explorer on windows xp the
explorer hangs periodically. It takes about 10-20 seconds until the
explorer is responding again. During this time issuing a "net share"
command also seems to block. Working with windows 2000 clients
everything is smooth so I can asume the server is fine. I've searched
Technet articles and found suggestions about problems in pre-sp2 W2K
Servers/Clients etc. but none of these fixed my problem.
I've also turned off "automatic network share and printer detection",
without any success.
It really seems to be a client problem, there are no anomalies on the
server.

Any ideas how to resolve this?
Thanks,
R
