You will also need to transfer the Schema Master and domain naming master
roles if these are currently held by the server you plan to get rid of.
dcpromo should move any roles held during the demotion anyway but do it
beforehand so you can choose where they end up.
Make sure you run dcpromo on the server before removing it to bring it down
to a member server.
It's not necessary to remove the Global Catalogue from a DC before demoting
it.
