Either way is fine. From a security perspective one might have a slight
advantage in splitting up the AD DB and logs. For me personally, I use the
first configuration. Having both Data Base and Logs in the same RAID is
going to provide for a faster AD domain. I think you would be creating more
work for yourself with three mirrors. Better for RAID 1 for OS, RAID 5 for
database and logs.
