Eric,
I doubt Outlook 2002 is compatible. I created a partition named O=mycomp,C=INT and within created an OU named RNAB. Within, created a number of objects using the class Contact (updated the schema using the example provided with ADAM). I configured Outlook 2002 to use the server hosting ADAM and set the search base to "OU=RNAB,O=mycomp,c=INT". It comes back with "No such object, possibly the search base is set incorrect". What is wrong with my approach?
Thanks for the help on the rights, sorted that bit out.
I still find it difficult to update the schema with the Contact class as present in our AD. Like you said, the accociated attributes need to be exported as well. Missing a command switch on the LDIFDE tool which would just export a specified class, and track down linked subclasses, or classes it depends on and inlcudes all attributes to make the class work in another directory. With some manual editing the ADAM schema, I think I can make it work. However, is there a set of attributes Outlook expects back?
Regards,
Jacob.

I have personally only used Outlook 2003 this way, but it is certainly
possible there. I believe it is in 2002 but would have to check, it's been a
while since I used Office XP. :) I think the answer is yes though, but if
you have trouble just holler and I'll track down an Office XP box.

Well, you'd want to include whatever you need. You could export the
particular classes you like from AD (be sure to use -m if you do this with
ldifde) and import them in to ADAM. But you'll need to be sure to include
dependent attributes and such.

Is ADAM being stored on a machine inside of your domain? If so, you can just
go to the naming context (aka application partition for ADAM) that will
store your application and add the users you want to have access to the
readers group (located in cn=roles within the partition itself).
