The computer settings (machine settings) will be read from the GP on
comp_acc->laptops and the user settings will be read from
user_acc->management. If you put machine settings in the GP at the user
level, those settings will NOT be applied since the computer does not belong
to that OU.
In addition, if you enable loopback policy processing, user settings at the
comp_acc->laptops will be applied to your useraccount.
--- Ok I already set the loopback policy to replace. Problem is exists (maybe I explained this quite hard way). Under comp_acc->laptop is GP which set the computer policies (GP->Computer Configuration). Under user_acc->management is GP which sets user policies (GP->User Configuration). Now when I log into laptop with account which is under OU management, only GP which is under laptop OU is run, so no users settings affect/doesn't show when gpresult.exe is run. Thanks for the reply though, I managed to "go round" the problem by setting GP which is/was under management OU to laptop OU.
