There is a security policy setting called Log on locally. It defines which
users or groups have permission to perform an interavtive logon. By default,
regular users cannot interactively log on to a Domain Controller.

Hi all, Newbie AD question: I have just setup a trial Win 2003 Enterprise server with a Win XP Pro client. By default, when I create a regular "Domain User", they cannot log on to the domain from the XP system. I get "The Local policy of this system does not permit you to log on interactively. " Does this make sense? I am not trying to log on as a regular user physically on the 2003 server, but from the XP client. If I make the user an admin, then they can log on to the domain. Anyone? Thanks. Bret baf.cdb@verizon.net
