Can anybody help with the above error code. I have been to the Microsoft web-site for a solution, but to date no joy.. Problem started a week ago and after 3 days of trying the following suggestions, I had to give up before I went insane....

Microsoft's answer to this problem is
Microsoft KB556075:
"It happens if the firewall is enabled.This is a known issue with Norton Personal Firewall.Disable the firewall and then re-download the guide.If that doesn't help then go through the guide setup again."
I don't use Nortons but treated my internet security software the same way, viz.

* Turned off/on Windows Defender
* Turned off/on Windows Firewall
* Turned off/on McAfee Security Centre Firewall

Combinations of the above....

Obviously, I rebooted for each of the above combinations.

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition on a Dell with 2GB Ram
My Electronic Programme Guide is from epgStream.net.

Can't find any other solutions at this time... anyone with this shared experience and a solution?.
