I think your graphic card is not a compatible one.The only solution is to
get a new graphics card.

I'm sorry if I put this question on the wrong forum. I wasn't sure which
one
to use. Perhaps I should have just put it in "XP Help and Support".
Anyway, my graphics card is an older one (as is my computer). It is an
"S3
Graphics ProSavage DDR".
I did re-load the driver. But it didn't seem to make any difference.
Thank
you for any help you can give. I appreciate it.

I have a screensaver program which I love but it stopped working for no
apparent reason. When I try to start it, I get this message, "No
hardware
accelerated Direct3D devices were found". In the next error message,
it
says
"your computer only has a reduced-functionality reference device
installed.
Install the DirectX SDK to get the full reference device." I have no
idea
how to do this.
When I brought up the Direct X Diagnostic Tool, under the "Display"
tab,
it
says, "Direct3D functionality not available. You should verify that
the
driver is a final version from the hardware manufacturer." I went to
the
manufacturer and downloaded the latest driver. It didn't help.
I know this is getting pretty involved. But if anyone might have had
this
problem and knows what to do, I'd really appreciate hearing from you.
Thank
you.
