Re: Java

thanks, this helped me to understand. Ok so when it last said to update I
said no and it hasn't come up again. So please tell me where where I go to
re-instate the correct update for my computer, and perhaps the site to learn
about it. Sorry I put it in the wrong section before but I didn't know what
it was and am making an effort to get to know all these things on my
computer, for which is the right section.
Thanks for the advices.

I have two computers, one that is Windows XP media centre, desk top, and
a Vista lap top. Both have asked for Java to be updated. On the XP I
stopped that. What is Java for and if it says to uto update should I.
On my XP I have said not to update, until I found out about it. Where
do I go to get its update. And is it necessary? Thanks in anticipation.

Not really appropriate to this group.

Java is required by some websites to function properly. If you have Java
installed you should always update to the latest version as they are
typically released to address security issues.
