Re: how do I agree to terms of use or privacy agreement for Media Cent

You don't need to reinstall Media Center. Go to Settings, TV, Guide and re-run Guide setup. You should be prompted during that to accept the terms of use. If not, go back and re-run Media Center Setup again from the Settings menu.

I have an hp media center pc 864, and it came with windows media center
Version 5.1.2600.1142 It's about 7 years old.

I want to use the interactive program guide in windows media center so i can
set shows to automatically record. When i try to download the guide
information I get an error which says i need to agree to the privacy and
terms of use.

The problem is that i can't figure out how to agree to these terms.

When i click settings> privacy it brings me to this website:

www.microsoft.com/windows/window-media-center/privacy.aspx

which has nowhere for me to click 'agree'.

the help menu says that you are supposed to agree to these terms in the
media center setup wizard when you first open the program. I can't find how
to run this wizard or how to reinstall the media center.

Thanks for the help
