I have noticed that the first attempt to make Media Center go from full
screen view to a windowed view fails most of the time and I have to click on
the button a second time, after having to move the mouse back from the
center of the screen, in order to get it to go to a windowed view.
This is true on every version of Vista Media Center I have used, on a 6 year
old computer, my new i7 computer and a new laptop.
This behavior still exists in Windows 7 beta as well.

Yep - it's a long standing quirk. MS are aware of it - hopefully it'll
be fixed in the RC version of W7.
