Start> Run > msconfig > ok
Now click the Startup tab and scroll down for the offending application.If you get there then just uncheck the box against that,click ok/apply and restart the machine.

I clicked on the file.net site by your message and then the Microsoft and did a free scan. The file that is on my message came up as one of the files affected. So I bought Uniblue Registry Booster, downloaded and reran the scan. My computer came up clean but when I rebooted, the Error message is still there! Now it suggests I buy the Drive Scanner program. Do you think this will work or is it just more money??.
