Hi Curious,
Your answer was cut-off but I get it... Yes, there was a change and now I
think I have figured out what I need to do just need some clarification
from
someone.... If I understand my original Tuner card (Sony Vaio VGC-RA826)
it
came with was only designed to pick up and complety decode Digital TV such
as
coming straight from a cable source, i.e. (comcast, etc) It will not work
with FTA boxes like (Nfusion, Sonicview, Viewsat)... If that is correct,
then
what I need is a tuner card that will work with the FTA boxes, decode HD
with
Audio and Video... If anyone knows of a card out there like that, please
drop
a line....
My currecnt situation still exists when I turn on MCE and go to Live TV..
I
still get no Audio perhaps because the tuner card is unable to decode that
portion...? As for my prior recordings, I checked the dates of them and it
was back in 2006 when I was connected to digital cable thus getting full
Audio/Video... Again, if anyone out there is going thru the same ordeal,
please share what is working for you as I want to be able to record using
MCE
rather than having to go buy or obtain a different system...

obviously something has changed in the way you record files. Either you

Hi All,
After spending hours trying to figure this out I gave in and decided to
put
the question out there.. I read the subject matter on connecting your
MCE
2005 pc to your AV reciever and it works fine for previously recorded
DVD's
that I had on file and for other tv recording done in the past... After
moving everything over to a new 1 TB hd, I can't get any sound when
watching
live tv or a program I recorded yesterday, but yet all of the prior
recordings play fine..? I have changed and update drivers and rolled
them
back but now change.. I have an older Denon avr 610 that handles
Dolby,
dts,
etc.. My preloaded Intervideo Windvd 5 works and the codec works.. The
sound
is handled on the board chip REAltek (Sony Vaio VCG-RA826G model with
Pentium 4HT. I also have a FTA sat box and the MCE works fine there as
well,
provides the guide 14 days out, lets me select recordings, etc.. just
no
audio when played back.. I have now just finished downloading the
Nividia
deluxe $49.99 30 day trial version and I went into the MCE
Settings>dvd>Audio section and I saw that I had new options and wasset it on reciever when it locked up..?
